Also, if you want to read up on Trader Joe's and the CIW, read this article, which has lots of juicy tid-bits on Trader Joe's unsustainable, unjust practices!

NE Encuentro 3 days away!
In very exciting news, we've got 80ish people registered for the full Encuentro this weekend! It's not too late for you to register!
We've also started to get press inquiries about Trader Joe's and the Trader Joe's protest on Sunday (noon at Union Square Trader Joe's). They want to know why Trader Joe's, with it's reputation as sustainable and hip won't sign with the CIW. It's a little scary when fast food companies are making better decisions than our supposed sustainable organic-centric stores.
There's a tomato brigade that's going to be out in full force on Sunday- so wear your best giant red shirt and stuff your belly with a pillow.
Can't wait to see you there!!
